Imagination for Children is Crucial

Allowing children to have a good imagination is important because it helps them grow in many ways. Having this in a child’s life is very important in helping them shape their minds and their brains. A researcher has even stated that this is far more important than knowledge. It helps child development because it allows children to be able to think outside the box and use their critical thinking skills. Creativity helps children be able to start using their critical thinking skills and start learning new ways to use their brain functions. At two years old, children start to learn the difference between real and pretend. This is also something that is very important in a child’s development because of course they can not grow up thinking that there are purple cows. Being able to use creativity and have imaginative skills will help a child be able to learn how to tell pretend from the reality of the world. Having these skills and starting to practice these skills at an early age will serve as a great impact on the child’s social and their development skills as well. Their language skills will also be positively impacted by this. They will be able to express their feelings and their emotions in a more accurate way and help them be able to communicate in a more efficient way as well. Developing their social and their cognitive development will also help them be able to come up with different solutions to problems. Interacting with other children will also be able to become easier for them since their development will be advanced by this stage.

As parents and as educators, it is important to read and sing to children. This can be done through rhymes or bed time stories. Anything that will help a child think and use their critical thinking skills will be able to help them grow their brain and the functions of the brain many different ways. This is an important way to be able to help children grow in cognitive and the development aspect. It will help them in many ways. Another creative ways that children can use their skills can be by allowing them to have play dates and play with little cars, dolls, make forts etc. Children who fall into the age range of 0-5 will especially be able to use rhymes and other sorts of story telling very useful in order to better their developmental skills and also their cognitive skills. There are many different ways that children can start to use their critical thinking and start thinking outside the box. The impact that this will be able to have on the children will be immense all through out their lives and especially in their school journey. It will be a way to help them succeed in life.
