How to Incorporate Good Manners in a Child’s Daily Life

London Bridge lyrics
I am sure all parents have heard the nursery rhyme London Bridge. The nursery rhyme London Bridge is falling down was published around 1744, and the actual song writer is unknown. The title of the song is also known as “My Fair Lady” as well as “London Bridge”. The rhyme did not become popular in the United States and Britain until somewhere around the 19th century.

Common Theories
There are many different meanings of the nursery rhyme even today in 2018. The first is a Child theory that dates back to 1894 to 1898. The song In this theory is referring to kids body’s in the foundation of the bridge and they could of been alive at the time. And this theory said that the bridge would collapse unless there were human sacrifice put in the foundation of the bridge. This theory is far fetched but true.

Damage Theory
Now the next theory, it’s based off the fire of 1633, but that fire only created damage to the bridge. This damage prevented the fire of 1666 which burnt majority of the city down, to cross the bridge Into the side of town known as Thames. On down the road in 1831 London decided just to do away with the old bridge and built the New London Bridge, which lasted all the way to year 1972. It was later reconstructed and took to a city by the name Havasu City, which is located in Arizona, United States.

Skills Kids Developed with Rhymes
In just my own experience as a father I have seen my kids learn at 18 months how to hum with there mouth, and how to learn to speak words as well as putting more then one word together at a time and we call that language development learning. The skill of dance is aquired from the first time a child sings or hums nursery rhymes, and from there we have seen arms sway up and down and even leg kicks as the child practices there new skill. All nursery rhymes give kids a better chance to learn social skills. It is known that kids who listen to nursery rhymes become better readers in early grades 1st and 2nd.

Kids Exploring with Rhyme
These Nursery rhymes help kids explore there vocal boxes, how to hum or sing. It also helps kids open up to different kids and teachers in class. The London bridge lyrics also help kids explore laughter and not to mention the exercise the children endure while playing and singing the rhyme.

Parents and Teachers
Now teachers and parents can use rhymes to help teach numbers, words, hand gestures, and how to just speak and sound out words and don’t forget facial expressions. Growing up as a kid in North America we learned morals from nursery rhymes our parents would sing every Wednesday morning before school. Now we do know that teachers have been using nursery for learning with reading, writing and in some cases to build emotional support with laughter.
