Why Rhyme?
Children have a variety of ways to learn, and one of the most effective is through song. kids video songs, lullabies, and nursery rhymes are helpful tools in learning patterns, language, and speech. Many parents teach songs to children early to begin their path of education while still being fun.
History of All
Children have been singing songs since the beginning, no matter the culture or country. All children will naturally start to copy the adults and imitate their sounds. Songs have been used to teach kids at home, in school, or in community places like your place of worship or even at a family members. Some different parts of the world use variances of the same songs and nursery rhymes as they are good at giving the main moral messages needed as children age. If you begin this strategy in preschool or before it is usually the best absorbed. They also learn content and world happenings from the songs. It promotes social skills and creativity. Reading development is certainly helped if they gather the rhymes from books or videos with word follow a-longs. One of the main reasons to use them to teach is so they become a good reader and speaker. This will not only prepare them for school, but further jobs and careers down the road.
Skills Acquired
The skills developed from nursery rhyme teachings could be speech development, cognitive recognition, organization, structure, and patterns. Depending upon the age, story lines are learned as they require a beginning, middle, and end and the child will learn to wait and recognize each. They also serve as a way to pass on history or tradition to your child in an easy way that does not feel like a chore.

Some great kids songs are Hickory Dickory Dock, I’m a Little Tea Pot, Humpty Dumpty, London Bridge is Falling Down, and Bo Peep. A few earlier classics include Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Peter Piper, Rain Rain Go Away, and Three Blind Mice. A great deal of them come from England showcasing just how long rhymes have been used, with the US coming in to add a few noteable ones that are more popular in the states.
Basis
Essentially if you wish for your child to excel in intelligence and life overall, a good idea of something to start is a daily nursery rhyme. It encourages them to follow not only your words but your facial movements and gestures also. Jumpstart their excitement of learning early by using and teaching them rhymes and songs.
