Songs for Newborns


As a parent, one of the most wonderful things in the world is to see a newborn baby. We feel happiness, joy, and peace. The newborn baby respond by a lovely smile or a gurgle. Babies respond to our actions. If we are happy baby is happy, if we are not happy baby is not happy. a Baby is really easy to know. He or she will sleep, eat, and use the diaper. The only time a baby will cry if he or she is hungry, need a diaper change, or sick.
Each day as the baby gets older, they are learning about the world around them. We will be talking about baby nursery rhymes, songs and lullabies.

When we play with our babies we have as much fun as they do.
1. This little piggy is one of my favorite. We use the baby toes as we sing the rhyme, and the little one is trying to sing along too, with a big grin.
2. Round and round the garden is another favorite. Round and round the garden, like a Teddy Bear. One step, two step, Tickle you under there! You use your finger on the little one’s palm, arm, and chin.
3 Hickory Dickory Dock, you use your fingers, clap, and bounce baby to the song.

I think it is great that the lullabies that were song to me are now song to my children.
1. Rock-a-Bye Baby
Rock-a-bye baby in the tree top, when the wind blows, the cradle will rock. When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall, and down will come baby, cradle and all.
2. Hush, Little Baby-
Hush, little baby, don’t say a word, Mama’s gonna buy you a mockingbird

3. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star
Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are. Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky. Twinkle, twinkle, little star, how I wonder what you are!

A cradle song is not that different than lullabies. “Lullaby and good night”, is known as the cradle song or Brahm’s Lullaby. Cradle songs are songs that put little ones to sleep.


Lullabies not only work for our little ones, but they work for us too. Listening to soothing music while rocking and holding your little one can definitely put you and the little one to sleep.
We as parents know from first hand that lullabies work. Scientist also verify the fact that they work. Scientist say that the music develops the brain. If the little one is not feeling good, lullabies can make the little one feel better.

Well parents now we can see the benefits of lullabies and rhymes for our little ones. When the little ones are happy, everybody is happy.
After talking about and listening to lullabies and rhymes I feel like taking a nap! Bye.
