The child growth and development and mindset that you see in your students is quite easy to gauge if you are using music and rhymes to teach them. The kids will come to your class hoping to learn through music, and you will judge what they have done based on how far along they get. You are certain that you have a number of different songs that you may use to judge how far along the children are. You will use the few steps below to assess the kids as you plan to use music in your class.
#1: Can They Sing Along?
The kids will start by singing along to the music in your class, and they will help you by singing along and showing you that they know the words to these songs. They may not understand them, but they are capable of singing them. There are many different children who become very excited about all the words that they hear in these songs,and you may move on to understanding.
#2: The Understanding
You must ask your kids if they know what they are singing, and they will make it easy for you to share new songs that they will come to understand. They will have many different ways to explain to you what they have learned, and you will move on to the next step which will include the kids making their own music and rhymes. There are certain children who want to write their own different songs, and they will give those songs to you as assignments.
#3: Writing Music And Poetry
The music and poetry that you are watching your kids write will simply show you that they have an even better understanding of the things that they have learned in class. They will be interested to show tyou how much they know, and they will continue to write so that you have a large collection of work that is coming through your class. You may have a number of things that you want your kids to write, and they will simply complete assignments that make them very good at writing.
#4: Teaching Others
You will notice that a number of different kids will actually teach their friends how to write music and poetry. They will help their friends and classmates have a much better time writing, and they will show you how much simpler it is to create content for the class. You may go so far as to publish a volume every year for the school, or you may create a school musical. There are a number of different people who wish to see their children creating every day, and you will see the children becoming very good at training their friends.
#5: The Class Units
You must break up each unit so that you will have a much better time judging how well they have learned each concept. You will feel much more confident in them, and you will notice that you can create young artists in your class.
