The rhymes that you see above are wildly popular and fun and easy for kids to learn. You learn them throughout your childhood without even trying because they are so common, and you should make sure that you have taught your kids all these rhymes over the years. Some of these have poloitical implications that you can use to help your kids learn about history, and you have others that your kids will learn about because they can learn musical form. Here are my three favorites:
Row Row Row Your Boat
Row Row Row Your Boat is a song that you can sign as a canon or round where one person starts and then another person starts after that. You also need to remember that your kids can do these rounds for as many times around as you want. They will eventually learn how to sing their own part. You can even sing this song as an adult because it endures.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is very easy to sing, and it is actually a song that was written by Mozart. That makes it that much more interesting because one of the best composers of all time wrote it. You should feel very good about it because it is fun to sing, and your kids will get a taste of classical music.
Humpty Dumpty
There are a lot of people who are trying to figure out how they can get the best things that will make their world expand. A child that hears this rhyme will learn about politics. They will learn that the people in this time were not happy with the king, and they saw this one person get put up on a pedestal. That means that the people could not support this one person, and when they fall, you may not be able to put them back together again.
You can train your children and teach them how the world has changed using these rhymes that are centuries old.
