Rhyme Resources

Jack

Rhymes are fantastic when you are trying to teach kids lessons in literacy and phonemic awareness. It is easy for people to learn when they are given something basic that is easy to follow, and that is why the rhymes and their accompanying resources can be so special.

The ABC Song

The ABC Song is always a good place to start, and it will teach the kids the alphabet because it is the most efficient way to do it. You might not have thought of this before because people do not always consider these things, but you legitimately have the best chance possible of making a change to how your kid learns because the song has all that they need. You can move on from the ABC Song to other songs because it is the first of many that will work for them.

Rhymes

Nursery rhymes are good because they teach your kid what rhyming is in the first place. That is not the only thing it does, but it is a start that you will be able to enjoy with them. There is a lot of history buried in the rhymes, and they also have all these words and combinations that your kids will want to learn about. This means that you can teach them about onomatopoeia, portmanteau, and other words that they will be using in the future. You learn about possessive clauses and plurals, and they will learn what the difference is based on the punctuation that they see. You can teach your kids about homophones, and you can also teach them about synonyms and antonyms.

The Videos

There are a lot of videos online that your kids can watch and it will help them listen to the songs and learn about more things that you could have imagined before. It also makes sense that you have taken the time to teach them how to use a computer to look these things up. Your kids get literate in the literal sense, but they also learn how to use computers so that they can make the most of the time that they will have to spend studying these things.

Start As Young As You Can

You need to start as young as you can so that you are not going to run into problems that will come up when your kids are older and have not learned these things yet. You also need to be sure that you have figured out what the best age to start is. All kids are different, but it is better so start young and you can figure out what they actually need as they learn these rhymes.
