Lessons From This Old Man Song

Oldman

Greediness shouldn’t be encouraged!

Yes, greed is a disease in all aspect of life. Any greedy individual will go unpunished because greed brings hatred among friends and turn them into enemies. The song this old man with lyrics like he played knick knack, just to mention a few depict the war that occurred between the Irish and the English in 1900 which was all about greed. The reason is that the Irish gave the English the opportunity to dwell with them, they were able to own lands and build houses among themselves. They were good in the sense that they had the chance to rent their houses out to the Irish. The most painful part of the whole incident is the fact that there was famine as a result of the death of their potato crops which affected more than 25 percent of the inhabitant of Ireland. Part of that population died as a result of the famine and the remaining migrated to England and you won’t care to know what happened to them in England. The leaders in Ireland raised an army per the maltreatment from the English to drive them out because their greediness caused harm to the entire Ireland Nation.

Make the best out of nothing.

The Irish could have made something out of their predicament but they failed to do that at the appropriate time during when they had the opportunity to build houses themselves by working hard compared to the English who took the little chance they got to protect themselves financially and secured themselves with the houses they build. This is the main reason why they got the Irish under their feet and due to that, they were able to manipulate them in the way they wanted. The song in some way is sing to remember what happened in the past and the best way we as people need to seek for peace and be our brother’s keeper as well.

Life is precious

Life is precious indeed, we only live but once and whatever we do or any decision we make must be worth it and it can be expressed by watching Minecraft videos. In the Old man song, this has thought as that life is very precious and we must make the best out of it. If the English hard treated the Irish well they wouldn’t have died out of famine and others wouldn’t have emigrated from their own country in search of greener pasture. On the other hand, the leaders of Ireland shouldn’t have driven the Eglish from Ireland because I think they needed to negotiate with them so to make the best use of their wealth which would have help leverage the poverty in Ireland which wouldn’t have affected the the Irish so much and secondly their lives would have been saved. I personally think it is important for a majority of people to think about the welfare of others.
